Is the basis for how close i have my plants to leds off or worth a think?
Most would no doubt say that this is far to close due to heat given off by leds, but the second pic shows how I use the fan to cool the air between the lights and plant, and so far no heat on back of my hand whatsoever only when I get right up close, my leafs always seem to be praying or sitting uplifted within 30 mins of doing this, I read that means you have found the 'sweet spot', I have had it like that for a week and I have noticed slightly more bud mass when feeling the bud and no yellowing, is this a good idea?
I'm sure you can light bleach but these 600w leds were only £80 from amazon so I'm deducting true watt to be less than average for the budget I was on, the brand I'm using is waykame.
What do you all think?

I had that brand for my grow, mine reckoned they were 1200W ( 120x 10W LEDS) but when I won the IS lights which draw 270W, I noticed an increase in the amount of electric that was being used, to be honest I'd put them as close as you can while still getting full coverage and keep an eye out for signs of burn

Re: Is the basis for how close i have my plants to leds off or worth a think?
Thanks a lot mate, i had a feeling it was fine, i used to have the light closer but further away than what its at now and the heads were all yellowing so i moved it to two n a half ft not sure if it was due to pre flower or was actually heat damage but I moved it away to be sure, slowed right down so I started using a fan to cool the heated air between plant and light, is this common/an old and practised idea or have you not heard of it before? Just thinking maybe some who want to sit their leds closer but cant for the reason of heat could benefit from that info what say you?
I'd still have some time to go before I can certify that its actually safe and isn't burning slowly as we speak, but I would definitely endorse this if it turns out okay

That's the ideal distance I read 18 inches/50cm but further in flower, why is that, anything to do with encouraging the plant to stretch?
How would I measure how many watt also

That light is probably not drawing much power man. Like Hmr said, test the actual wattage.

In the end I will ha e to turn down the down of the light to not burn the buds closest the ligjt, but if i could keep 50cm I would be able to keep it full power all thr way through.
Thats just my opinion of course, I am no expert lol.
You can get a meter to plug in between the wall and the light that will tell you your true draw. At worst case a smart meter will give you a rough guess to witbon 50w.
You turn down LEDs at the end or hps?, can't remember if you told me and I cant see anymore than last two posts, I'm still using the old riggable electricity metre (mine is not rigged tho lol), can you use a metre on a multiplug adaptor or does it have to be the wall? Defos going to check because the next grow is most likely going to be hydro and I especially want to make sure I'm giving them enough light
Im almost 100% certain its not a powerful light bro, it was the best looking of the cheapest from Amazon, it came with the wrong light manual, the one the manual was for was a phlizon or something mine are waykame so I've been a bit skeptical of their capabilities from the get go it is a very small plant also, I did stress her a lot with training by not giving a full week of recovery time during veg. Still we have 5 of them if a 1200w hps is better for 5 hydro plants I might switch, or save up and buy 5 more decent 600w leds.. Would obvs rather hps most likely cheaper, in time I want to have maxed out on lighting, hoping to incorporate a UVB light but for now its about getting yield and having a successful grow, will have a lot to learn with hydro
