Willow Water for Clones

Post by Tictok »

Hey all,

I've been experimenting with willow water for rooting clones and had some good results. Apparently it contains high concentrations of a rioting hormone.

Found a weeping willow, cut off some young branches, no wider than a pencil and chopped these into 3-4inch strips.

Dropped these in a pan, added boiling water, covered and left for 24 hrs.

I cut the clones and immediately immersed them in a pot of the water and left them overnight. Soaked the riot cubes in the same water, little dip of clonex and in the popped to sandwich bags ala the Captain's method.

8 days later I got this.......

I'm new to cloning but I've never seen the roots appear above the cube and so quick!

I'm going to use this water for potting up too.

I've been told this pheno of More Cowbell is a very slow growing pheno as well so I wasn't expecting this in a week. The first clones I took were of the massive mother plant which has been way more vigorous growing and I didn't use the willow water. I didn't see roots for at leat 2 weeks.
