Re: Anyone Got A Compost Bin
I have used one and had no smell issues but I bag mine a few weeks.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: Anyone Got A Compost Bin
I have one, Polly.
If you can get your hands on some pallets, you can make your own for peanuts.
They don't smell, at least mine doesn't. If you're going to add things like crab shells, then it will for a while unless it's buried deep.
Lots of things can vary the time it takes to rot down. Time of year, what you're composting, how many worms are in there, how deep it is etc. etc.

Never give advice. Wise men don't need advice. Fools won't take it.

Re: Anyone Got A Compost Bin
I personally wouldn't. Although that one looks like it could withstand strong winds better, it's still fully enclosed. I find having slatted wood is best as air gets to it far more.Mrs Beefheart wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 9:45 pmBuying one b much easier for me , how bout this oneThe Aspie Toker wrote:I have one, Polly.

Re: Anyone Got A Compost Bin
Adding urine will also speed things up. You can also get a compost accelerator
