What's your local legendary strain of old?
Greetings all,
I'm a bit of a weed history nerd and love hearing about the different legendary strains from the past. Anyways I thought I would start a post to hear everyone's stories...if your interested in sharing. So what's the legendary local strain from your spot
Here's one from my neck of the woods. The "Te Puke Thunder". I had always been told it was brought over from Thailand in the 70s, grown in the Coromandel hills and had become a heirloom adjusted to NZ climate...but who knows, I reckon it was probably just a sweet name that stuck. Here's a helpful little video about a local dude looking for it. To be honest I reckon its long gone, but the doco is fun, a bit of kiwi weed culture

I'm pretty boring but my all time favourite back in the day was Euphoria by Dutch Passion. It was a great all-rounder with bumper harvest of stinky skunk-weed :) Kept that for about 4 years until life got in the way and Iost the strain.
I've tried to find a similar pheno a few times but could never find another one to match my original Euphoria. Absolute legend :)

Round my way it was Blues aka the "Livers cutt" it was all that was grown for years round here. My fave that i grew for many years back then was the Jack Herer by Sensi Seeds. Best tasting strain i tried way back was the NYC Diesel twas a real melon like stink and lush tasting bud.

Yes i remember when skunk landed round our way in mid to late 80`s, it proper looked like someone had puked on it, really pale green and pale orange coloured, it proper knocked ya block off did that stuff. Me thinks i need to do a decent skunk run at some point Paul.Paul_led wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:34 amBack when I was a young en late 90s if you managed to get some white widow , purple haze or northern lights …… you knew you was gonna be off ya nutt lmfao

Making plans with a stoner is like being with a prostitute. They tell you they’re coming, but you know it’s a lie.
