Had a couple over today for some snacks, cocktail and smoke on the deck. I should say we are talking about an average age of 70. One of the couple complained that weed today is too strong. He said he had almost psychedelic experience several times. For him it wasn't pleasant and he experienced anxiety. He would like to enjoy this as his partner does. Other than abstaining I suggested he look for herb that had Indica leaning attributes and try to have a good mix of CBD as well.
Any other ideas for this person to have a better time with herb?

Re: Cannabis is too strong
The industry is quickly realising that its not all about the THC/CBD ratio and cannabis with a much balanced mix of cannabinoids is more enjoyable than these insane THC numbers. If you have the luxury of choice, look for something around the 14% THC with a higher CBD content. Some of the classic skunk lines are perfect.Grumpy Toad wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 11:25 pmHad a couple over today for some snacks, cocktail and smoke on the deck. Re: Cannabis is too strong
I agree with Seymore. Also oldschool strains are a good choice for this reason. I've spoken yo a few growers who say they have grown out some old strains, even land race, and its given them full bodied/all round high, the sirt that they rememberfir years gine by, a far more enjoyable experience. These older strains are not as highly targeted as a lot of he new stuff towards THC levels.
I've been saying for years that strains have been bred so much and for so long for big thc and big yields that we have lost a lot of things, many we probably don't even know are important yet. I think some of the medical properties that we may have almost lost through such targeted breeding for so long will be shocking
Another trick is to slightly over cook your plants when it comes to harvest times. The same strain harvested 2 weeks early, on time, 2 weeks late. Will have 3 different effects. Generally the earlier harvested the more "heady" the high.
A lot of the above is why I'm only picking old strains for my pollen chucking project. I think there is a lot of unknown factors in older weed that give us a all rounded effect.
