If you're growing for personal and there's no proof of money made or anything chances are cps arnt going to change you anyways. I suppose it depends on where you live in the country. Jails are already full of violent offenders in most places. Chances are You'll just get a fine. It's a grey area in the UK at the moment. But my old man got hit a while back and he got a slap on the wrist. For 8 ish plants, quite a few saplings, 6 air cooled lights. Not a sophistical set-up or anything. Told them it was all cbd and for his medical use. They told him they gonna look at his banking accounts etc and then a few months later the cps decided not to charge. Although I think covid might have helped a bit.

Would be interesting to see what others in the UK have been changed when considering plant/light count etc.

Sounds like he had a lucky escape. You can never predict the outcome of a court case that large. I think he had a sympathetic judge. You could be in court for the same thing the next day, get a different judge and receive 5 years.

I really hope the UK sorts the laws out. The current laws deter small growers that use cannabis for medical reasons or light recreational use yet encourages gangs from other parts of the world to come over, steal electric and grow weed using dangerous PGRs and pesticides then flood the streets with cheap nasty weed.

That pretty much sums up 80% of the UK cannabis scene right now, unfortunately. Dirty empty buildings are being cropped. Riddled with as you say pgr and pesticides, and banged into Alibaba/ebay packaging to then rip off the end user even more by saying it's legit Cali. I do hope as you say they just allow at least all medical users who are growing small amounts for their own use. It's a waste of policing and they know it!

True story. One of the many reasons intelligent, law abiding, tax paying citizens decide to grow a plant themselves.

I often wonder how much vat and income tax gets paid through all those grow shops, grow suppliers, led manufacturers, delivery companies down the supply chain? The home grow industry must be worth millions to the government and would only increase if everyone were allowed to grow their own medicine.
