Irrigation ideas on 10 acres farm
Hi gr420 family good to be back in here again and I have a project o need help with
I have purchased 10 acres two years or so ago papers and all the good stuff which takes the piss in afro countries was sorted last year and I have had a well dug up.
So the help I need is to figure out best and simplest method to get water running up and down the farm.
Land description
The size of the land is 1 acres wide 10 down so its a big rectangle shape,
I got a well dug round about the 5th acre so it's easier to run water woth pumps up and down the farm.
So my question is what metho would you run the water up and down the land is pretty flat so ideas with drawings would help my simple mind if you don't mind please or even just explaining with links of sort of things would be needed ie the pump size and power from well to tank or what ever
I have sprinkler idea and a second drip idea which @MafooFarms had exact same but he and @GMO gave a good idea to use tank hard pipe off the tank onto rows of smaller pipes which drip into the stalks.
I can drop pictures of the land after the well and yall can see what I have to work with .
Thanks in advance amigos and thanks for reading and any replies in advance:D
Thanks and God bless

Re: Irrigation ideas on 10 acres farm
Good thinking here. Swales are usually used on slopes tho and it sounds like Dex’s land is flatter than flat.
There may be some other mounding he could do outside of his planted field to redirect more rainwater into his growing area. Bit different than a swale but deffo something to think about.

Hi Dex,
Can you move your land to Wales?
It's wetter than a goldfish's bumhole round here.
