Keeping a reservoir warm?
We know what a challenge it is to keep feed solution at the right temperature. Especially the ones growing in coco and mixing big amounts of feed at once.
As my grow is entirely in the loft, my feed solution gets too cold in winter. And we need it about 18/19 degrees.
What is the best and cheapest way of keeping it at the right temperature or at least warming it quick right before feed?
I am usually using an aquarium heater, but that's another 300w of leccy for at least 3 hours to warm up a 100L.
A bottle of boiling water in the res also helps sometimes, but only changes temps with about 2 max 3 degrees.
Having the feed at the righr temperature is very important and also pH and EC pens show different values at different temps.
I'd like to hear your opinions!

Use nutrient tank warmers... Like fish tank ones. Leave on all the time. I also use a mix of hot and cold to fill initially.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: Keeping a reservoir warm?
I've got 3 airstones in my reservoir mate and it's nowhere near the term WARM haha. It was 12 degrees last night! Had to WASTE some leccy to warm it up. I need a solution!Nanook of the north wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 7:19 amYou do realise an air bubbler also heats a Res aye?
