Re: making organic fertilisers ?
Check out fpe and fpj methods bud, they are the quickest way to turn waste into fertility
Besides that, worm compost and traditional compost work great but can take a little longer
I think I posted fpj and FPE threads on the forum in the organic section

How in depth do you want to go? I KNOW @GMO is gonna love this chat. Technically even just epsom salt and water would be considered fertilizer, but im not smart enough to get down to the nitty gritty.. egg shells, feathers, garden weeds, shit(from pasture not toilet), leaves and banana peels are saved at my house.

Yeah I hot my own FPJ and also a shit load of OHN too.
I'll use that on my own plants and most probably when I get the veg patches going.

Absolutely not only to prevent burning the plants but diseases.. there are beneficial microbes in fresh shit but also harmful ones.DIY.Rik wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 11:44 amI think thr manure you'd have to compost 1st....? Also many folks have misconceptions on composting.. you dont always need to collect for months on end and just wait and wait and wait. If you flip the compost regularly and have decent weather 3 weeks is fine. Now obviously depending on the size of what you collect and the contents it may only need to sit 2 weeks or it may need to sit 6 weeks

Re: making organic fertilisers ?
I haven't a clue about organics.
But I've started to compost as a way of using my weed trimmings.
Using the trimmings and kitchen peelings in bins. I even add seaweed when a good storm washes some up.
I'm going to try some Tomatoes, peppers and auto's with it in the summer.
