Extraction
Does anyone have there extraction from the bottom of the tent?, I currently have the pipe at the top I was just thinking that it may be preferable to extract from the bottom to keep a little more heat in the groom, I have a 12inch fan at the top of the tent circulating air, extractor fan is outside and vents up into the loft.
Cheers

Re: Extraction
I like this idea. I have seen some one here, could be bulls or bb had their filter just leaning on something like an old bucket, it was around level with the bottom of the plants.
Maybe you're onto something here.
I will be subbed into this to see hwat everyone else thinks?

Re: Extraction
One thought mind.
Aren't we trying to eradicate stale warm air too though?
Thisstale air can contain spores and things we don't want in our tent? Pathogens?
Just a thought in the other direction.
Maybe it is negligible?

Re: Extraction
I think if your blowing enough air around it should be ok but be interesting to see what some of the more experienced guys opinions are.

Re: Extraction
Yes I am not sure if it be the same with lower heated lights. But in my head extraction works better up top as I have 2 fans each end and 2 fans down bottom each end and when the wind from them fans meet in the middle it create a kinda vortex pushing all the air upwards.

Re: Extraction
Here's my take on it my chamber is nigh on 10ft long and 28 inch wide 9 ft high,in there I've got 1 x12 inch desktop fan running full melt 24/7 never turned off its hung below my carbon filter blowing directly across the canopy or just above, the wind hits the back wall then circulates through the dope a 1 way system !!! The fan has no mesh on the front as this dramatically reduces the wind by far, remove the mesh the day I buy them the fan pulls air from the rear it gets pushed out at the front much faster without meshing....it creates a 1 way wind tunnel my exhaust is a viper 5 inch running full melt drawing the stale warm air out of the chamber, the intake is a 10mm crack under the door frame black bagged off inside so not light leaks, the floor is also just floor boards that leak in air when sucked by the exhaust see,I do have a decent negative pressure but the walls don't get sucked in as they are concrete I'll be altering the exhaust in a few weeks by stuffing it in the attic
Then I get this
great googly moogly!
