Yes your right i mean theirs zero humming or anything at all that can be heard from fan, its really a very low noise and is air blasting into loft and tbh no fucker goes in loft so fuck talking myself into buying new when theirs no point its just not me in first place doing that. EC fan must have had me captivated lol
Do you use acoustic ducting? That should get rid of most of the air noises, the only noise mine makes now is from the carbon filter, I’m wondering if wrapping some foam around it will help
I just have ducting going into loft about 1.5ft long if that which is in grow room/cupboard coming off the fan and stuck through a hole i knocked in ceiling. I suppose i could use a longer run of that stuff but nowt down for crawling around in loft, im fucked up enough as it is. Its really not noisy as said i just like sound of these ec fans shifting lots of air for minimal effort. Maybe next time i need a fan ill invest when i need it and not just for sake of it.

Yeah sounds like a longer length of acoustic ducting will help massively

Drugs and Alcohol are never the answer! Unless the question was “what am I doing tonight”.

Phonic trap ducting works well if you're replacing old ducting or upgrading, it doesn't have fibre glass in it and has plastic on the outside so doesn't tear either. Pricey though
