Re: Silent 6” fan in the uk
One last question,
Seeing as the app can control everything and presumably works over mobile networks while away from home, can you set alerts and things to notify you when things happen? For example get a notification if the temperature/ humidity gets too high/ low. Or get a notification for a power failure or something like that?

Re: Silent 6” fan in the uk
hey dude, whatever brand of silent fan you get, canfan, infinity, ruck, phresh, ect..my advise is ,if you want it to be really stealth then get one that is bigger than your needs and run it at slow speeds,if you thinking a 6 inch then get a 10 inch for example, these type of fans have tremendous torque and pull mad amounts of air on slow speeds, ive got a 10 inch ruck silent doing a 90 x 120 and a 10 inch canfan with a y splitter on the duct doing a 90 x 90 plus a 50 x 50,they are not ec fans they are both wired to cheap ebay variac controllers and i rarley have them on any more than half speed, also if you go bigger then youve always got a bit more power when things hot up in the summer months...anyway sorry for than rant lol

Re: Silent 6” fan in the uk
So is this a standard connector for ec fans?
Looks just like an old school headphone jack.
Got my eye on a 10” q max can fan, they do an ac or an ec version, ec is obviously more expensive, just weighing up the pros and cons now.
If I move away from my setup now I want the controller to control everything from lights to fans, if that’s the case then yeah Ill spent the bit extra and go the ec route, if a digital fan controller can’t be tied in with the lights/ humidifier/ dehumidifier then I’m not too fussed.
Maybe on the other hand if that is a generic plug on the q max can fan then I’m future proofing myself though, someone is bound to release an all singing all dancing controller at some point

Re: Silent 6” fan in the uk
hey @Vador mate,i'm on tor so a pain to log in to ebay but if you search used canfan iso max loads of them come up,the 6 and 8 inch have 3 speed controllers but 10 and 12 you need one, they the ac ones and thats what i use..the ec's are a tad less power hungry on have more control capabilities but you still need to buy the contoller for them and they pricey tooVador wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 12:44 amAny chance you can post me up a link pleasebimblebrains wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 12:31 amyou can pick up silent canfans on ebay for less than a 1er,even the big ones, them ec fans are exspensive man but more controllability is what you pay for i suppose because they aint any quieter like
