Silent 6” fan in the uk

I used to work with a passive inlet 1.5x size my 6 inch filter but i remember Missy telling me around x2 is good, but i thought what with gaps which their always is 1.5x was enough @Vador

Just been doing some experiments and when I shut the bedroom door nothing happens straight away but after a minute or so the negative pressure must build up and the fan gets noisy, when I open the door again everything calms back down again.
Tbh After another inspection I think it might be the bearings in the fan that are noisy or maybe it’s not well balanced or something.

It’s looking like this is a combination of things, looking at a either a 6” or 10” ac infinity to replace it with, thinking maybe the 6” might be a good option, the 10” ducting goes down to 4” before leaving the loft anyway so can only get so much air through that gap as it is. Also the carbon filter I’m running is 5”
I always used to run a 5” in my tent running hps so a 6” should be fine with led I would have thought, how much heat do two ISH Xbars and two Vbars create? Can’t be more than a 600w hps and 400w of t5

I notice ac Infinity do the 67 & 69 controllers, looks to me like I might be best with the 67. I only need to control one fan and the controller probably isn’t compatible with invisible sun lights so the 69 would be overkill for me. Would be nice to have it tied into my lights though, maybe in the future they might release a module for controlling lights though

Mine came with a speed controller but i opted to buy the controller 67

They do have unique plugs from the fan to the speed controler. Mine came with the basic speed controler but i also got the controller 67

Can either of you tell me if you can set a maximum fan speed on the 67 controller please

You can set a minimum and a maximum setting. It goes from 1 - 10

Happy days, I’ll get that ordered tonight.
Probably just cut half inch off the bottom of the door for extra airflow lol, my goal is to have the fan spinning slow anyway so should be enough air from around and under the door, it’s fine as it is but just seems to be loading up the fan that little bit extra, plants are getting plenty of air and temps are fine so not worried about that. Just need to help the fan out a little

Or two 6” ac fans inline and control 67?
Both options can be had for round about the same price,
Will dual inline fans even make a difference?
I’d have thought it would help share the load at least, might have an adverse effect on the other hand?

You can indeed. My off is set to 4, meaning thats the lowest setting while its in 'auto' mode and my maximum is set to 10.
