@Marcus @2-Scoops I forgot to ask, does anyone know how long these inspections normally take? Thank you.
depends on size of house and if the dudes on his own or he have a gofer half day max aspie or less
also if he ant got move stuff quicker i.e round plug sockets

Typically an EICR will take around 3-4 hours to complete, depending on the size of a property and the number of circuits requiring testing

Thanks, mate. It's an average sized 3 bed semi.

5 minutes for first survey visit i had from a suit (he just looked around see what wanted doing no tests) and 2nd visit for tests and fitting etc took around an hour or so give or take, i don't think anyone ever went in my bedroom after first visit survey bloke came. It`s really fuck all mate and no sweat for a seasoned pothead like yourself. 8-)

In my experience of these things most of the lads doing the testing will be stoned or wired anyways.
I worked in social care and they were always coming round to test something or other.

Thanks, mate. The impression I got was they were going to test everything there and then. I can't really hide my tent. It's the first thing you see when you open the door.

I am thinking of replacing my ducting to Phonic Trap as it's supposed to be quieter. It's certainly safer as it doesn't have rock wool inside it. I'll also get this too... https://www.onestopgrowshop.co.uk/produ ... ection-kit as it will make my life a lot easier in the long run.

I think those clamp things are shit and a waste of money @The Aspie Toker i still need to tape the things up shit don`t tighten or even hold things in place properly, well one i tried using didn't so i don't use them now or maybe i should say i tried using those collar things once without much success. I just do old school thing and put duct directly on to fan and such like before taping over with aluminum tape works a dream.

What size fan and ducting you got out of interest ?

The testing thing well just sweeten them up with plenty of coffee or tea and get best biscuits out, chokkie hob nobs. :)

Thanks for the info, mate. I still think it's the better of the two evils. I don't have the strength any more for such things. I always found the old way very awkward too. I will probably still use tape as well.

It's 5" ducting. (rock wool type)

I got myself one of these recently:
https://tinyurl.com/52b53x5s

I've used it to clip my filter directly to the fan, no tape and it's really doing the job.
