Re: Rising Energy Cost
Ok so iv been looking again at energy costs, the cap on a variable rate keeps you at 29p per kwh so it's about 3rd increase from last year's cap of 21p , knowing that it'll increase again in October iv decided the best move is to sit and wait, not change tarrif and hold out.

Re: Rising Energy Cost
The good old chesnut again I would say. Scaremongering people into changing and swapping things about when later down the line you maybe shafted like you say..... wait it out.sir-scrogalot wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 11:16 pmOk so iv been looking again at energy costs, the cap on a variable rate keeps you at 29p per kwh so it's about 3rd increase from last year's cap of 21p , knowing that it'll increase again in October iv decided the best move is to sit and wait, not change tarrif and hold out.
I think this is probably the most sensible idea. There is not much anyone can do, maybe think of ways to cut down elswhere and make more money to pay it off .......?

Has anyone rang British Gas, and if so, what number did you use please?

Re: Rising Energy Cost
If i was still using what i used too, I would be at around £8 per day right now from around £2.80 a day when i first started with hps lights. Even with Leds there's No way i can afford to stay growing. When its time its time i suppose.

Going to need to find a decent spot for a guerilla grow.

Re: Rising Energy Cost
I think theres plenty of people with economy 7 meters still, unless you inherit it with the house there not fitted anymore, along with storage heaters, power showers, and over cooker extractors... all are being fazed out by housing association's.

Re: Rising Energy Cost
I ended up going online and filled out a form with my meter readings. One of the questions was asking if we had Economy 7, so it does still exist even if you cannot sign up for it.
