True story dude. We're on lpg at home and the last two winters have cost me about £200 to heat the house for the five coldish months. This year with electric shooting up I'll be installing a wood burner with a back boiler for heat and hot water, and solar with battery storage that will charge up at night when the rates are lower. It's no joke how everything is getting more expensive now. Was looking at electric vans until the rates went up... Now I'll stick with my diesel.
We live on the coast and it would make sense. For a 10k system which is enough to power a house apparently. The cost would be £30k plus you need planning permission.
Our DD is going up to a £1000 a month for gas and leccy.
