I don't think a heat mat would make a difference mate. Outside is reach 9c. I can't see a reptile heat mat warming the tent up an extra 13c +. I've never used one tbh but couldn't imagine there that hot.

Bro If you saw my tent you'd know it wouldn't be an easy job. Especially while there in flower. What's your ideas insulating just the tent?

Probably right mate I didn't really think of it that way. You might need to get a second heater at this rate anyway because apparently temps will be dropping by about 10C up your way soon 😭
Already hitting 8c at 5am on my way to work. Shit idea trying to get another grow in before crimbo lol. I'd stop growing until I can grow in the house if I had to get a second heater. Wouldn't be worth the cost.
I was only messing about bro 😂
If my insulation idea works then I get some credit okay :oik!:

Thing with these though, don't they just heat up really quick then turn off if connected to say an inkbird? So it would technically warm the tent up in minutes but cool down just as quick? So it will be constantly on and off keeping up with the temp? Where as a oil rad keeps the heat ( a little longer)

What would you say is more cost efficient really?

I like the little caravan ceramic heaters. They're low wattage and the heat is instant so you don't use a shed ton of energy heating up oil. They work excellent being used with a controller too. You can grab them on amazon for ~£30
What I use and it has done me good, I have same problem really hot in summer freezing in shit weather temps have really dropped now

Im hps so when light on no need for heater, Good point mate! Mine does at the moment with lights out I’m not sure efficiency, I’m hoping to insulate my box in shed after this bud dry. I chopped today as where they got heavy was resting on each other and mould and bud rot where it been so wet so didn’t wanna risk it

Im hoping I can get kingspan or somthing to line the box, as like you said it just drops just as quick so hoping I can afford to do it properly,, your girls look very good! Lovely colour! What strains mate? I looked at tube heaters but the reviews were quite shit tbh

Thankyou mate 🙏 thought about kingspan around my tent but I don't know how well it'd work in my shed.

Have 2x dosi x f1 durb x gushers
2 x kushmint x strawnnana
From purple city Genetics.

Debating wether to throw my 400w hps up with the boards but I think it'd be a over kill in a 3x3 😂 such thing as too much light.

I just have my lights turn off at the wrong time. Unfortunately it just fits around my daily life well.
I'm not seeing many positives on tube heaters also.

Tube heaters don't cut the musturd, forget about them.

Unless you want to buy the 2 I own and have used once?

I used a 2kW heater as well, it has 2 switches so I can only use half of it... and I used an inkbird to switch it on and off.

I had a fan blowing through it too to get that warm air around. When I celotex'd the garage, 50mm stuff, I stopped needing to use the heater so much. I needed to use the dehumidifier more though...

:idn:

Good luck. Maybe sleep in there with them some nights?

Sounds like my set up. I have 2 switches on there but dunno what they do so ther both turned on and have a honewell fan blasting towards it to move the warm air around. When it comes on humidifier has to come on then temp drop and dehumidifier kicks in. High maintenance birches.

If it was a bigger tent I'd have the blow up bed in there.

I might get around to sealing the shed with insulation eventually :idn:

No I haven’t either mate! And yes I’m not sure what else to use haha, fingers crossed it helps and is noticble diffrence, they are some good strains there mate! Is there anyway you can use your hps instead of one of your leds? As I know when my hps comes on no heater needed at all however like you say it’s to do with the timings your running, I defo know what you mean when I move to coco on next run I’ll be changing from 7pm to 7am to 6pm to 6am as need that exstra hour to feed everyday, please let me know if you do find low power heater as I think mine is a ceramic 1.5kw heater so defo not good for electric bill haha
