I work for a pretty big company and the stance is 'you cant enforce it only remind people'
Also the police have said 'do not call us re: face masks'.
In Wales it's all optional anyway. :barmy:

Tried on my mates RAF issue gas mask at the weekend with quick change filters! It's a beast.
He wore it to Morrisons and got some funny looks.

seen a few people been refused in the local shop, and rightly so. i get its a "choice", but unless for medical reasons you can;t wear one i really cant see the issue. Try operating a tank or sleeping in the desert with a full gas mask on, then you can complain.
In my case, it's asthma, severe COPD, and a cancer drug that affects my breathing.

yea i understand that mate, and perfectly reasonable not to wear one in your case.
I do try to minimise the risk by going in the evening when there are fewer people shopping. I also stop 2 metres away in an aisle if someone is in front of me who's looking at something on a shelf (although it annoys me when someone behind doesn't show the same respect and brushes past you.)

There’s not that many ppl wearing them around here tbh and it’s only mandatory on public transport at the mo , I personally not keen and won’t b wearing one if I can get away with it , if lock down as learnt me anything it’s I waste to much money on crap I don’t need and I drive places I don’t need to as well , I’ll happily pop my local shop that won’t b worried about it and I’ll do the rest of my shopping on line , I grew up in a very strict country and I’m not going backwards in life and having that shit again having a tick list before u leave the house the only sheep I wanna see are on the mountain not being herded up the streets in single file , masked up being shouted at by ppl who haven’t got a clue , just my own personal opinion , if u wanna wear one fine go for it but don’t knock ppl that don’t either social distancing I love in shops stops creepy ppl standing to close

I've chosen not to wear a mask and haven't had one on. I've been asked twice over the last week if I have a mask and I replied - I can not wear one. Both answered - OK, You can come in. It's my personal choice really. Boths sides will always have their reasons but to me wearing a mask is pointless. The chinese were wearing them and still got the virus. Allowing peole who eat/drink + kids not to wear masks in the same shopping center as others are wearing them is pointless to me and does not make any sense. Also allowing staff members not to wear one? - I've heard one member saying - They told us we're here all day so we don't have to wear one. How does that make any sense? It's either all or none. To be all countries are going through the same measures without even most making any sense.

Just followed an old chap into morrisons who never had a mask on, they chased him down and asked him to put one on. He simply said no i find them irritating and they let him go ablut his business. I've been having to wear mask & gloves at work for months though and its not optional.
