Re: Need a 4” in-line fan
How large is the room you're growing in I use 4" for 3x3 4x4 no more than that really. I had a 2x8 closet and it will struggle with a bigger cfm in my experience..however I have never used ac infinity products before...

Re: Need a 4” in-line fan
Cool this is my current 3x3 no inline fan, 3rd run and the super tall one in a strange pot was harvested and no issues at all . There's a spot fan on top of this tent facing up to suck out air .more than enough till I was able to afford my ac infinity fan..

Re: Need a 4” in-line fan
Pretty sure you’re going to need a 6” for a 4’x4’ tent and a carbon filter. I have an AC Infinity 6”. Works great. Just wait until you have the money to buy a decent 6” fan.

Re: Need a 4” in-line fan
Lol got a bit pricey for me I'm going to try this infinity in my 4x4 I don't have some issues others have as I'm on the west coast in California. Weather is awesome most the time. Like the auto Control and the ability to daisy chain the control to more than 1 fan, side by each lol.TTL11 wrote:Pretty sure you’re going to need a 6” for a 4’x4’ tent and a carbon filter. Re: Need a 4” in-line fan
Ok so a couple things... It really sucks buying stuff and not being able to use it, but I don't think that 4 inch filter is gonna keep the smell in check
Just not big enough
I agree with grumpy, if you ever plan on upgrading lights in the future (which you will) you're gonna need to get a 6 inch fan and filter.
Personally, I only use vivosun fan and filters. They're about a third of the price of expensive ones, plus they work ok for the most part and will give you a full refund if anything breaks I had a 4 inch inline that only lasted 3 months, so I emailed them and they refunded me without needing a return
This is the cheapest company I would go with though
Buy this if possible
If not, buy this and get a 6 to 4 inch reducer from the ducting section of home depot or whatever and use your 4 inch filter. You won't be able to have the fan very high though. That tiny filter won't scrub the air effectivelyhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CTM0JF2/ref=cm_sw_ ... TEbHV7SW51
