Wow what a friendly bunch!

Ok here's the story so far...
I've been at it theoretically for a coupld of years so far and have been a lurcker across a few forums, I've come across alot of conflicting information, and now I'm a bit confused.

First things first. I've used an encrypted throw away email account accessed by a paid for version of nord vpn and i browse using duckduckgo on mobile internet only. Is this enough to remain secure whilst using this forum?

Theoretically my set up is as follows

1x1x2 tent with 6 inch low power extraction, rhino carbon filter and rhino double fan controller. Ectracting through acoustic ducting with fan in a homemade box in atic, where it also vents. Chimney venting is not an option.
Passive intake
Two circulating fans 1x12 inch oscilating desk fan hung upside down controlled using fan controler and 1x9 inch non oscilating dimmable fan.
Invisible sun Ish320 3000k led with R strip upgrade
North facing spare room
Soil in an autopot system, this is due to time constraints and the need for silent running, no pumps etc. Although I'm opent to a change in medium.
Nutrients used
Biobizz range before hand watering
Advanced nutrients ph perfect when switched to autopots
Now trying plant magic

I've always had funny deficiencies which i struggle to diagnose and herein lies my problem. I've read alot for a couple of years and now im buggered if i know what to do. Everything I've managed so far seems to be low potency with a high that falls off the shelf after a couple of hours. So far I have only done autoflowerers, dutch passion gluberry og and nightqueen which is curing.
I dry in a net in the dark tent for about 5 days and then jar with bovedas airing daily for a couple weeks, then cure for a further two weeks opening weekly before I start helping myself. I do have a digital temp and humid meter in the jar. Thinking it might be the breed and type of seeds I have just started a barneys photo gorilla skittles which i am mainling. So although i may be poorly /mis informed on many things, I have dipped my toe in a bit.
One more thing, the wife has a blanket ban on posting pictures and i realise this may make things difficult. However, her indoors must be respected.

Hey Normoli,

I'm not sure if duckduckgo is helping unless you're searching "growroom420" to find the forum. Nord VPN is as secure as any and will mask your IP and the throw away email provides you with plausible deniability if required as well as disassociate your personal info with your forum handle. You've taken most of the precautionary measures to hide yourself. Remember you're never 100% anonymous online even with further measures to mask your identity. If you're not some mafia boss, relax you're good :)

A couple of tips. Autopots run very wet and your problem could be over watering. If I was going to use autopots I'd mix my soil with lots of perlite and maybe some pebbles. They also recommended 2" Of gravel/perlite in the bottom of the pot to also help the system not flood the plants. Lots of people have troubles with autopot without that step being taken.

Advanced nutrients are really made for RO/soft water. I've heard lots of success stories from growers using it in hard water too though. It I was going to go autopot, I'd use something clean like Canna Terra, Plagron Terra, Plant Magic Soil, Groth Tech Ionic or something else. You could go organic but if I was, I'd run things on plain water and feed the pots by top dressing and watering down. Organic feeds don't keep well in resoviours.
Theoretically my set up is as follows
Not sure what this means? :)

You've done the best thing you could of done. Came to the best forum on the internet and asked for help :)

Sound's like you have that part sorted. The lackluster end product will probably be due to the plants not having a great season.

Everything else seems fine buddy. Hope this helps?

Cool cheers Grumpg grower,

I have been using an inch and a half or so of clay balls in the bottom of the pots, but i have been leaving the valve permanently on. The soil has been biobizz lightmix without additional perlite or pebbles though. I often see brown spots that get bigger and then the leaf dies, is tgat due to over watering? I have a deficiency chart but feel a bit stupid because alot of the problems seem to look the same. If using plant magic hard water nutes (my water is hard) would you suggest half the strength of what the manufacturer recomends or less? Also i have never pH'd the feed in the autopot reservoir as I am in soil, is that wrong? Should I be doing that?

Much appreciated
Nomoli

How often are you watering? How much do you water it when you do? What are temps and humidity levels? and How old are the plants? Any chance you could upload a picture with lights off so we can see it better and help you more efficiently?

Sounds like i should start a diary, before i do how do i safely upload untraceable pics from a phone? I know phone pics carry background data regarding the location and date stamp of where it was taken, hence the reason my wife says no pics...

Sounds like a plan with the diary mate. What you need to do is reach 10 posts to access your personal gallery via UCP (clicking your user name will take you to your user control panel)

I believe out image uploader will strip image data and compress the image, all I one foul swoop. Hope that helps ya buddy
