Hey noob12345, nice setup. Looks like you're growing in an igloo :) Spoke to a guy I know run these systems a lot and he said that you can get away with top-ups for about a month. Anything over that and he said you're asking for trouble. Hope that helps bud.

Also, consider getting a pump for your RO system. May speed things up a bit

nice set up , very clean for diy , my suggetion would be upgrade to a larger ro system , tank to store water in and pump like grumpy grower mentioned
We can get swept away by our thoughts,,or learn to step back and see them with clarity.
Easy to forget its a choice

Sorry should of said. When topping up only use half strengh nutes and if you're planning on running the nutrients for a while, check out Torus Hydro, they make a PH balancer that will collect up all the charged ions the plant release while feeding to maintain PH. Looks like a great bit of kit and perfect for your situation.

The issue with that is they also say you cant use h2o2 etc at the same time - so best to have a bloody good chiller.

Peroxide is a good shout. Not for adding oxygen as the agitation of the water as it moves in and out of the system will provide plenty of oxygen but will keep things clean. The chillers are only really necessary if your res is over 20C. If you run the resoviour outside of the growroom he should be sweet. Watch the EC, PH and temperature and you should be good. You can get disolved oxygen test kits from the pet store if you want to test for oxygen in the water.

Thanks for the great replies guys, I will one day upgrade to a bigger RO but the damm things are so expensive!, what do you all think of my DIY CO2 gen? I've not had a problem with Pythium etc so far (prob due to the sheer amount of water and good circulation keeping the temps down even when the room is at 30°). I keep on-top of my EC so adding back strength isn't too much of a problem but what concerns me is the transition from 1-1-1 seedling stage to the 3-2-1 veg stage. At this point I think im just going to add back with 3-2-1 and empty just for transition into flower. I will have to get another res like you guys have said and let it fill a couple of days before the change over, I can use the pump in the bottom of the res to pump water back in, just hook a pipe onto it. If was to build another I would spend the extra 70€ on proper bulk head fittings as I had a small leak during the last grow so I have siliconed them into place, they are good now but forever fixed in place lol.

I like the idea of having a DO kit!
