Ozone generaters will stink proof your room on their own, nothing else is needed, or so i read in a thread, it`s all the guy was using.
UVC also kills smells it`s used lots in places like hospitasls in things like air-con and much more. It`s quite feasable to stick a uvc bulb or two in your outlet for added stinkproof measures, if that`s where you think stink is coming from. :)
UVC bulbs in your duct :) that sounds very dangerous lol you must carry your balls around in a wheelbarrow!
They do sell these as a kit. I think it's called the UV-80 from UVONAIR (that name might be wrong). To run one you need at least 15ft of ducting off the back of it or a mixing chamber for it to work. I've seen a massive one in action and it had this massive mixing drum thing and it was well noisey.
This is the one. It's the smallest one they do by the looks of it and look at the coverage.

Ive never done it tbh but it was summink i chatted about with a guy who planned on doing it, in fact i think he did do it, but not totally sure cus it was time back and guys banned now so i can`t confirm it. But yes it also helps kill molds and spores this time of year so a uv bulb stuck close by your inlet or in the duct lol may work prevent that ?
I was planning on running a few uvb lighting/bulbs for the latter stages of bloom for say last 2 or 3 weeks which is general rule of thumb or idea ive found looking around in general, you know just for added resin production and stickynes. What`s your thoughts on that one mate ? It`s summink ive done once or twice in past when i had a fitting in the led lighting unit that i used, it took a cfl uvb bulb. Cheers.

I've read the same thing and I'm about to give it a go. Someone gave me a new SunPulse 10K finishing bulb. Because it's in the 10K spectrum it should pump out more uva and uvb. It was free so I'm not going to loose anything trying it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes that`s cool mate. It`s 290 to 320 nm lighting wavelengths that`s best for jobby is what i got trawling net, which in itself is just uvb, but any blue lighting towards end of a grow should also help finish up your plants nicely from what ive been told in past. :)

They adversise the light as sitting in the UVA spectrum but I'm pretty sure there will be UVB spectrum emitting from the bulb too. HPS emits UVB as far as I'm aware. If you're looking for UVB bulbs, check the reptile shops out. What about this T8 floresent?

Make sure you get a pair of decent sunglasses if you're using UV bulbs.
Yes i gotta place i bought from before it was a reptile bulb too. But basically i`m just gonna clip two uvb/a cfll on under my shade, i may get around to the t-8 thing at some point, but it`s just a quickie i got all stuff for around the house exceopt for uv bulbs.
So how would you mount a t-8 in their just with standard t-8 light holder or do a diy jobby on it ? Cus my thinking is those t-8 holders are fair sized bit of kit and ideally i would want summink a little less obstructive and a more dainty fitting .

If I was going to do it I'd probably just use the standard reptile shades and hang them beside the hps. You don't have to go with the t8 I'm pretty sure you can get them in any size and CFL. I suppose you could use them as side lighting too. I suppose you'd jusy have to playnit by ear and mount them as the room required. Buf saying that, if I didn't have the bulb, I probably wouldn't bother. I've smoked weed grown under HPS for 2 decades and the THC levels are good. If / when I move over to LED it might be a different story though. I'm looking at the Lumatek LED's but I've read most LED units don't have UV bins because they burn out quick. Would be great to see a comparison between HPS, LED and LED backed up with UV using the same clones.
There's a link i saw someone post on here other day but forgot where it is now, that`s me all over. But yes it was a proper lab test results with doing tests on led and hps grown bud, if its to be believed led trounced hps, but then again theirs lots of bias about even in clinical studies i would think as well. .

Post the link if you find it, I'd love to read it. I think some LED's have UVB bins. From memory I think the Black dog LED does but don't hold me to that. Maximum yield has quite a in depth article on UVB if anyone is interested.

Sorry for hijacking your thread alpha :) I'm a bad man and terrible for it.
Yes i will do, but again i`m still not convinced there's other factors to tic not to mention bias.
I had a big 500 and odd watter led actual power, it was first off line and a one off i tested out cus when they were brought out later they had been tweaked quite some, it had a cfl uvb fitting direct in middle 4 cree cobs and loadsa 5 watt phillips chips in it, like a daft git i swapped for another led light of less power by same company minus the uvb fitting, bloody sick about that one now in all honesty. I could probably get it back if hasn't sold it on, but yes and we move on lol
