Re hydroponic self watering systems

Post by IMO »

Hi guys
I was wondering what system you are using, I’m gearing up for an indoor cultivation got most of the things I need but I’m wondering what pot set up is best, I want to have it set up to automatically water, I know about timers etc but I’m wondering which is the best pot set up on your opinion, Wilma seems a good option?, quite the Autopots but I’m thinking with those flooding is more of an issue than the Wilma.
Your opinions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hey IMO, welcome to the forum. Ive not personally used a wilma or auto pot system but a few of the others have/do. I grow in coco and use a rhizo system. This is a run to waste setup but down come with everything needed to be fully automated except the timer.

Welcome along fellow microbe lol

I run a Wilma and very much like its. We have a few growers using autopots but majority find the best method to be top feeding consistently

Have a good search around the from and see what kinda takes your interest bud

Welcome :)
I have ran Wilma's in various mediums and love them. The only disadvantage is height. It's why I went nft for years due to lack of headroom.

Hi welcome cant comment on wilma though from what i read before i dint like the fact i loose abit of head room so went with coco on auto system myself. Using rhizo trays then i dont loose to much head room :) Good luck!

Thanks guys, I bought a 2m high tent so I’m not sure height is too much of an issue, price of the Wilma is prity attractive at about £70 delivered, I’m thinking I could use the tank underneath to catch run off and use a separate vessel for the nutes. I also like the idea of run to waste trays using air pots decisions decisions. 🤔

I’d like to try a side by size soil mix vs coco grow but then I’d need to separate watering systems, planning to use smart plugs and want a camera so I can keep a check on everything.
