Phonic Trap Ducting

Post by Keeno »

Wassup GR420,

Has anybody actually used phonic trap ducting. Im planning out a new groom build that needs to be silent as i can make it. Ive heard this stuff is good but the price..... I use combi ducting which is actually pretty quiet and nearly a 10th of the price. I dont want to cut corners with things but is this stuff really worth that amount of money?

I bought some the other day. Due to arrive early next week.
I think you'll find it better than the other quiet ducting as it doesn't use rockwool/fibreglass.

It won't be for a while though, mate. My tent is down atm due to an inspection.
I also bought two lots of these...

It will help if I need to take it down again - which I will.

I'm not sure they do 20m lengths. I know they do 10m.

@Keeno I use it phonic trap ducting 4inch with my rvk and carbonair 50. It makes things very quiet as my clip on fan is louder unless fan is running 100% but still alot quiter than my combi one i used to used.

when i get my phone back off my son will record a video with sound so you can hear volume etc. If that helps

be warned tho can be a bitch to cut to size as so much acoustic foam

Looking at reviews, it does seem to be worth it.

"I highly recommend the PhonicTrap ducting. I have tried using regular ducting too but found it was creating quite a bit of noise. Since switching to the Phonictrap the difference is immense. Can't hear a thing. I'm running both 6" and 8". I wouldn't go back to using anything else. If you do decide to go for it then make sure to really stretch it out to fully open it out. Makes a lot of difference. It is really compacted down when you open up the box. Oh and I bought mine off the famous auction website. Cheapest I could find."

That would be great, thank you.

Just looking ag silencers as well. Ive been lucky in my previous area for noise not to be to bad of a problem, where the new groom is its a must that its as quiet as possible.

If i remember correctly need a get a pumper round as my boiler stopped working a few months ago, so she the landlady sent her husband as he a pumper. I was drying my last crop at the time in my tent and he went into that room, as thats where he needed to fix the problem not where the boiler was ( I live in old house) did the norm turned it into a lundry room and left extract fan on and you couldn't hear anything and he was within 2m of the tent when fixing this issus . So for me it's worlth the money in gold.

I looked into them but though might be overkill for my needs 60x60/75x75 or 100x100 if decide to set it up one day yes.
