The way I see it these harmful chemicals are in things that are all around us, the only difference is in California they have to label it, if you’d bought the same sprayer from a different manufacturer that wasn’t making products in California then you wouldn’t have known because they wouldn’t have put the warning on it. Still would be getting the same nasties but just not known about it.
It’s literally impossible to stay away from things that are poisoning us, we are being barraged from so many angles, I used to do my bit to stop using these sorts of products but now I see they are everywhere and you can’t avoid it easily, pissing in the wind.

Drugs and Alcohol are never the answer! Unless the question was “what am I doing tonight”.

I haven't yet, but that was the intention, mainly for watering the soil, as I rarely bother with foliar spraying, but apparently most leafy green plants don't absorb lead into the stems or leaves. Still, probably best to err on the side of caution when it comes to crops for consumption.

@Vador, :agree:

We probably breathe in worse stuff living in cities, although I prefer to minimise risk where I can.

I've had the same problem and was looking at the INWAVE Stainless Steel Sprayer.

Thanks @Vador for recommending the Kale sprayers. I just got mine and it's excellent, very well made and has good features, so I'm chuffed. I had never seen them appear in any searches before, but according to the Mosskillers website where I bought it they are "one of the very best on the market for the home & garden user".
