Exhaust fan in loft

Post by craigdayrgv »

Where i have a plant growing im running a exhaust from my little grow into a water tank in loft. Instead of the hot air causing condensation in the loft I simply run it into the water butt and problem solved. Please if anyone could tell me why this is a bad idea please comment.. I think this is pretty smart lol.. What can be a big problem solved very easy .ImageImageImage

Very odd way to vent, but I can't see an issue tbh. I just vent into the attic
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Venting right into an not insulated attic will cause condensation Nannook. If it works well for you Craig can't see a problem. It's good thinking outside the box.
What have you got growing?

Hello mate , Yeah don't vent into loft just in case it starts getting mild.

I used roof tile duct outlets and have the intake and exhaust ducted to the outside straight out the roof. Took a roofer about 10 mins to fit both.

You can do it, but you need to vent via something to take the moisture away, venting into a cardboard box with a couple kg of rice inside it would be enough
Youve been watching mobile phone water vids hahaha - works well tho doesnt it :)
