That's bloody awesome. Never thought of using the roots. For hydro guys, that's awesome. Do you think roots from a later flowering plant can be used or must be fresh ones? I like the idea of the balm and the tea.

From what i took away, the importance in fresh is for the cleaning process. I was think that the roots of a plant thats finished flower would be strongest, but you likely wouldnt want to leave them in the root ball in pot for too long as i imagine they would start to be broken down fairly quickly :)

okay, so i have finally found what i think is the source data
Cannabis Roots: A Traditional Therapy with Future Potential for Treating Inflammation and Pain
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
The current available data on the pharmacology of cannabis root components provide significant support to the historical and ethnobotanical claims of clinical efficacy. Certainly, this suggests the need for reexamination of whole root preparations on inflammatory and malignant conditions employing modern scientific techniques.
