Comfrey FPJ (Fermented plant juice) - Almost free bloom nute
Comfrey
approx. N-P-K
from 1.8-0.5-5.3 upto 3.5-1.2-8.4
as well as vitamin B12 and other trace elements
Create a Comfrey FPJ by filling a small bucket with the leaves and stems and bruising the foliage mixing in a 2:1 ratio of brown sugar. Cover with water and weigh down the nettles with a brick, paving stone. Only fill three-quarters of the bucket with water to allow room for the foam that will be created during the fermenting process.
cover with a breathable lid like a paper towel and move the bucket into a semi-sunny area, away from the house if smells is an issue. Leave the mix for one to three weeks to ferment.
Finally, strain out the comfrey and sugar and dilute the concoction at one part fertilizer to 1000 parts water for foliar feed and 1:50 as soil fertilizer initially as it can be very potent and you can always add more next time depending on your results

I've done it with stinging nettles and blackstrap (as well without blackstrap) and it smells like cow shit after a while, so do leave it away from the house.

I don't mind the smell, but it attracts flies, and therefore they'll come into the house if the windows are open. Also, the neighbours won't like it either. We have a large garden, so there's plenty of space away from the house.Mafoo.Martin wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:12 amIf you ask me that's the smell of money. But I'm a farm boy so what r ya gonna do?

ya my compost bin aint proper and it definitely reeks like hell but it's covered. This would probably get noticed by the neighbors, good point. Also the wife has a super sniffer...The Aspie Toker wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:16 amI don't mind the smell, but it attracts flies, and therefore they'll come into the house if the windows are open. If anyone ever has any doubts as to the wonders of comfrey here is more evidence in support of its mystical properties
I am making an herb bath for my wife (now new mother of our daughter) to soak in to help heal her sensitive areas
This is prescribed by midwives, nurses, and doulas who are trained professionals in post natal mother care

Re: Comfrey FPJ (Fermented plant juice) - Almost free bloom nute
I am waiting for my own comfrey seed. I am interested in doing this same thing as I use FSST fermentation of seed sprouted tea. I've since changed my game however I know that the new stuff I'm using is still proprietary need to have home ready alternative solutions cheap as it can be when I'm low on nutes, and have only untapped natural resources. Good on ya gang.GMO wrote:Not yet, but no time like the present huhMafoo.Martin wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 1:54 amDude did you try this yet?
