In addition to our indoor tent grows, we've decided to try our hand at Outdoor grow .
Living in Southern Illinois climates are crazy & the soil in the backyard is clay & dirt. I've already used a plow blade & pushed back 2 areas that we plan to start next season.
So what would be the best way to prep the area now? I plan on tilling it up & going to try to get some manure to cover it after tilling but what else should I do this winter?
Also when I get ready to plant whats the best way ? Dig holes for each plant & fill with good soil or just till it up again & pla t the seedlings ?

check into cover crops ,fast growing now then till in in spring
